THE CLIENT

Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) provides specialist ERP software solutions primarily to mid to large sized distributive Trades, companies such as Wholesalers, Distributors, Merchants and Retailers. KCS’s mission is simple: to design and deliver high performance, integrated ERP solutions that enables their customers to source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably and service competitively.

KCS is one of the most successful and fast growth UK headquartered software companies, employing 900 people at offices in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the US. KCS currently supports over 15000 customers across than 3,500 locations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia. KCS has grown through a combination of organic growth and a number of strategic acquisitions.  Revenue run rate in the current fiscal year is £90m, with an EBITDA margin of 24%.

KCS was a division of a US multinational and in 2010, Ian Bendelow decided to take the business to the next level through a management buy-out with investment from NVM. In 2015, KCS refinanced with Accel-KKR to support the existing management team and their continuing strategy. The investment by Accel-KKR has enabled the business to continue its growth and internationalisation strategy, entering into new vertical markets and geographies.

Gillamor Stephens have enjoyed a very successful partnership with KCS since the original MBO, recruiting a number of senior executives into the business. Key hires include; UK Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Chief Support Officer, Managing Director Netherlands, European Sales Director and Operations Director.
